Smoky Scenery
Smoky Scenery

Newfound Gap sits on the Tennessee/North Carolina border and is where FDR dedicated the Smokies a National Park in 1940. The dedication plaque straddles the TN/NC border. On a clear day you can see 250 miles distant. The second photo shows quite a few wisps of "smoke" coming from the mountains.
